What is Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathic medicine is part of the integrative model of healthcare, working together with allopathic initiatives and focusing more on treating the root cause of the problem. Naturopathic medicine allows the time and space for individualized healthcare. The core of naturopathic medicine is preventive medicine, where we used evidence based treatment models instead of just treating symptomatically. For more information about naturopathic medicine please visit www.oand.org and www.cand.ca

What can I expect in my healthcare journey with you?

Our initial appointment is from 60-75 minutes in length. During this time, we get to know one another and take a deep dive into your chief concerns and health history. With this time together, I can determine the appropriate assessment tools and next steps and we can establish your healthcare goals together. We typically begin with foundational treatment recommendations involving nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress management while we proceed with appropriate investigative laboratory testing.

After the assessment process, follow-up visits vary between 30-60 minutes in length. We spend our first follow up reviewing any lab testing, and establish a 3-6-12 month treatment plan to hold you accountable and be motivated for our end goal. We will make adjustments where needed and address any new concerns along the way. We then transition you into a maintenance plan where visits are less frequent and we maintain annual check ins. my goal is to see you less, not more. We are partners in your healthcare journey, and I believe that when you have the knowledge and support, you are set up for success. We ride the wave together.
